Product Description

Biron® Lab-grown Opal

Opals have the same internal structure, physical properties and appearance as natural opals. The water content (which is part of the chemical composition of the stone) in created opals are however constant, unlike in natural opals which have variable water content, and this make created opals less susceptible to drying out and losing in color or becoming brittle over time. Created opals often exhibit a more spectacular play-of-color appearance that many natural opals. Created opals are available in a wide range of colours and patterns that can suit everybody’s desire /preference.

Opals have become more popular in the past years and have been used in watches, bags, shoes, glasses, toys, cloths and much more. This type of opal is also especially suitable for artistic glassware market.

Opal is often made into cabochon and beads. Some fancy and customized shapes with or without facets are also available i.e. star, hand, letter, cross, dolphin, flower, etc. Customized cutting service can be provided.

*No limitation on sizes for the preceding shapes but maximum thickness is 10mm.
