Fair News
We are a startup established two years ago, specializing in robotic solutions. With an aim to promote our branding and marketing, we bring two agent products along with us, they are a robotic dog and a smart lock specially designed for construction sites. In the past three days, we received more than 100 business cards, and I anticipate that we will cooperate with 10-20% of them. One company from Dubai which provides similar incubation programs as Hong Kong Science Park has invited us to visit their fair. Through the Click2match platform, we contacted 2 companies, namely trading companies from Japan and India. We hope to come here again. The fair allowed us to build many new connections.
Our company specializes in drones and consumer electronic products. Yesterday, I came across a product that featured a small screen on AirPods. That was really cool that I didn't even know that existed. Even Apple hasn't made that product yet, and it's only $6 USD. I'm going to order about 1,000 units, and ship them onto one of my online platforms as it is such an easy selling product. During the fair, we identified eight potential suppliers yesterday, mainly from China, particularly Shenzhen. The entire exhibit is flawless, and Hong Kong’s hospitality is world-class. I've been to other fairs before, and it's a completely different league. HKTDC has a great venue and everything is really high standard. The standards have gone up even more since the last time I was in Hong Kong. I think the fair has made a huge effort this year to recover. The fair is probably the best place to source the products and find out what the new trends are. The thing about the expo is that there are all types of exhibitors and all sorts of new trend topics. It was clever how the exhibition was organized that I was able to find that shortlist of products and then just make the whole process easier. I didn't have to walk through the whole hall; I could just go to those exhibitors on the list and find more relevant products.
As a Canadian-based company, we manufacture in Shanghai and do PD modules. It is our perovskite photovoltaic technology that converts indoor light into electronic devices. To network with relevant contacts in Asia for business partnership and investment, we participate in EFSE. We made over 40 new contacts in these three days. There were 30 of them we wanted. They are from Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, etc. Some of them manufacture IoT applications, and some of them are sensors. Although it is our first time to have a booth, we chose EFSE since Hong Kong is a very influential city in Asia. We believe that here would be in the centre of business and technology and get many good leads over the continent. It is really good beyond the booth as there are mentors provided, investors, and pitch competition here. I see lots of opportunities here. The fair is so big and well organized. Probably I will be back next year.
Our UK-based company specializes in various areas: sourcing and developing products for the retail industry, assisting in creating new product ranges, and providing services such as quality assurance. During my time at the fair, I've connected with both new and existing suppliers to understand market trends and explore networking opportunities. I’m particularly interested in products featuring smart home technology or integrated AI. Some exhibitors are showcasing intriguing designs in these categories. We're refining technical details to tailor specifications for the British market. The potential value of orders could reach several million dollars, with projections starting at $100,000 to $200,000. The key is to select the right product and implement the right marketing strategies. I find Click2Match particularly beneficial for its seamless communication with exhibitors. Its feature allowing for instant sharing of contact information streamlines networking. I will undoubtedly participate in the fair again. It's simply a no-brainer!
