In view of the possible disturbance by typhoon later this week, the organisers have decided to extend today’s opening hours of the HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, Salon de TIME and CENTRESTAGE to 7:30 p.m., to provide more time for visits and business discussions.

The Hong Kong SAR (HKSAR) Government has further relaxed the COVID-19 rules for inbound travellers by lifting the amber code restrictions. Those from overseas and Taiwan entering via Hong Kong International Airport with negative PCR test result can freely access any premises upon their arrival, including participating in exhibitions and conferences. Inbound travellers are still required to undergo nucleic acid tests on Day 2 and daily RATs for five days, and show vaccination records before entering restaurants. In addition, travellers going to the Mainland China and Macao are no longer required to undergo a PCR test at the border, but need to obtain a negative test result 48 hours before departure. The Hong Kong SAR Government announced a further relaxation of quarantine measures for inbound travellers with effect from 26 Sep 2022.
Under the “0+3” scheme, inbound travellers no longer need to do the pre-flight PCR test and quarantine in a designated hotel. After consultation with industry representatives and key stakeholders, the organisers have slightly adjusted the schedules of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TE from 6-10 September 2022 to 7-11 September 2022. These events will be held concurrently with CENTRESTAGE (9-11 September 2022) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The fairs will be open to both industry buyers and public visitors, creating more business opportunities for exhibitors and buyers through our online and physical exhibitions.

In view of the latest epidemic situation, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has tightened various disease prevention and control measures and extended entry restrictions for incoming visitors, while many countries and regions have also issued travel alerts and implemented quarantine measures. These mean that overseas exhibitors and buyers will have great difficulty joining the HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair/Salon de TE scheduled for 1-5 September 2020.
After consultation with industry representatives and key stakeholders, a decision has been made to migrate the Fair online, consolidating with other fairs into HKTDC Autumn Sourcing Week丨ONLINE. The online exhibition will be held from 16 to 27 November 2020, enabling the industry to continue exploring business opportunities. Meanwhile, the 37th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, which aims to discover new design talents for the industry, will proceed as planned and the results will be announced in October.
With the successful conclusion of Summer Sourcing Weeks丨Go ONLINE (SSWGO) recently, we believe Autumn Sourcing Week丨ONLINE (ASWO) will carry on the momentum to assist global exhibitors and buyers overcome some of the challenges during these trying times.
