We’ve launched a secondary brand Dexibel providing educational headphones equipped with an active noise cancelling microphone boom arm for teachers and students. Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair is an excellent place to promote our new brand. The feedback has been positive. We’ve met with about 10 prospective customers from different countries such as Mexico, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore and India on the first day of exhibition. A Mexican retailer is looking to sell our products in its retail stores while a Malaysian stationery provider hopes to introduce our headphones to schools in Malaysia. These two orders are estimated at US$200,000 in total. A Hong Kong stationery chain also wants to distribute our new product line. We are pleased with the results and positive about the prospect of business development.

It’s great to see the Hong Kong fair back on track after COVID creating a lot of opportunities for the stationery industry. We’ve met with many new buyers from different markets including Korea, Thailand, Switzerland, Poland, South Africa, Hong Kong and Mainland China. A Korean buyer has already sent us its design requirements for our notebooks with potential order worth US$50,000 while a South African buyer is looking to purchase US$70,000 to US$80,000 worth of diaries. A Polish buyer is negotiating to source our calendars and the value of order is estimated at US$100,000. This is an excellent fair reflecting a solid comeback after COVID. We are very happy with the positive results.

We’re thrilled to be back to showcase at this fair after COVID promoting our new designs to customers. A number of new buyers from different markets like Mexico, USA, Germany, Poland, India, UAE and Brazil have visited our booth looking for back-to-school products. Seven to eight buyers intend to place orders as they are very interested in the design and style of our bags. Potential orders involve eight to 10 containers of our bags. Some buyers are also pursuing cooperation to develop new collections with the provision of their own designs. This fair is a very good platform enabling effective face-to-face exchanges with existing customers and new buyers. HKTDC has a done a great job making it a successful fair for industry players to find new opportunities and regain growth momentum after COVID.

Many new buyers from different parts of the world have approached us and expressed interest in our DIY book nooks. The value of potential orders is already worth more than RMB300,000. Two buyers from Malaysia and Mexico are negotiating for sole distributorship for our products. A Japanese buyer has placed sample order while an Australian e-tailer hopes to sell our book nooks. An Indian buyer will visit our factory after the fair. We’ve also met with museum staff from Hong Kong and Mainland China exploring to develop DIY book nooks under special themes. This fair has effectively raised our profile and allowed us to showcase our book nooks to more buyers. We’re very happy with the results.

I also like the colourful designs of paper packaging bags showcased by an Indonesia exhibitor. The fair has a good mix of interesting products for new business development. We will place big orders and the total volumes will be finalised subject to further talks and the pricing details.
