Food Expo and concurrent events spurs public shopping spree
The HKTDC Food Expo, HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo and HKTDC Home Delights Expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), drew to a successful close today, with the total number of visits reaching over 500,000, and an overall spending capita of HK$1,615. The five trade fairs attracted some 1,860 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions and were bustling with visitors amidst a lively spending atmosphere, highlighting the strong appeal and reputation of these annual flagship events.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), three public events including the HKTDC Food Expo, HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo, and HKTDC Home Delights Expo opened today at HKCEC, and will run from 15 to 19 August. Running alongside for three days are the Food Expo PRO and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair. The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM), organised by the Modernised Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA) in collaboration with the HKTDC and ten scientific research institutions, will run today and tomorrow.

Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the HKTDC Food Expo, HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo, and HKTDC Home Delights Expo will run from 15 to19 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The Food Expo PRO and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair will take place from 15 to17 August at the same venue. More than 1,840 exhibitors will attend the five fairs, providing a one-stop sourcing and shopping destination for trade buyers and the public to enjoy global cuisines, tea and lifestyle products.

The Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo and Home Delights Expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), concluded on a high note today while the two trade fairs – Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair – drew to a successful close on 19 August. The five fairs featured more than 1,800 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions and attracted close to 480,000 public visitors, an encouraging recovery sign for the trade and fairs industries. The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM), organised by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIIA) in collaboration with the HKTDC and eight major research institutes, also concluded on 18 August.
Food Expo and inaugural Food Expo PRO open today
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the eagerly anticipated HKTDC Food Expo, HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo, and HKTDC Home Delights Expo has grandly opened from today to 21 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) for five consecutive days. The three-day inaugural Food Expo PRO also kicked off this morning with the returning Hong Kong International Tea Fair at the same venue from today to 19 August. Moreover, the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM), organised by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA) together with the HKTDC and eight scientific research institutions, runs concurrently today and tomorrow. Guest of honour Michael Wong, Deputy Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), officiated at this morning’s opening ceremony for the concurrent fairs, joined by Dr Peter K N Lam, Chairman of the HKTDC, and Margaret Fong, Executive Director of the HKTDC.

HKTDC Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair to be staged together in August
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Food Expo PRO and Hong Kong International Tea Fair will be staged together from 17 to 19 August 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The fairs will bring together a wide range of global specialty food and beverage, tea, and related products, providing a one-stop sourcing platform for F&B importers, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, hospitality groups, department stores and e-tailers. The fair is open to public visitors with ticket admission on the last day (19 Aug).

The HKTDC Food Expo, HKTDC Home Delights Expo, HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo and HKTDC Hong Kong International Tea Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), have all drawn to a successful close, along with the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM), organised by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA), together with the HKTDC and eight scientific research institutions. The four public fairs saw participation from more than 1,000 exhibitors and attracted over 430,000 visitors.
Hong Kong strengthens trade relations with Japan through MoU with Aomori Prefectural Government
As the effects of the pandemic continue to be felt by economies across the globe, Hong Kong looks to strengthen economic relations with its key trade partners. Today, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Aomori Prefectural Government of Japan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on mutual cooperation in promoting economic exchange. The signing occurred during the Food Expo 2022, a flagship event organised by the HKTDC.
