Yeung Wing-yiu, one of the Hong Kong's best known inventor, founded Advanced Materials Enterprises Company Limited in December, 2006. AME Chief Executive Officer Yeung Wing-yiu completed his doctoral degree in material sciences at the University of Hong Kong in 1985, and subsequently worked in Australia for teaching and research in engineering. NanoHeat technology can provide energy efficient heating and insulation function, which can be used in common household products; Since NanoHeat will not cause any reaction magnetic interference, it can be used in medical, health and other areas. Furthermore, NanoHeat technology has a major advantage of its slimness, which makes product appearance designs more flexible. It also has better heat penetrating and transfer capabilities, or rapidly increases temperature up to 300 ℃ in a minute.
He described, AME aims to commercialize the NanoHeat, until now, they have applied for 35 patents for the technology NanoHeat, which 25 have been successfully registered, including the most important U.S. patent; In addition, they have also successfully registered 28 design patents and spent a total millions of dollars to create a stable platform for licensing their intellectual property to the World conditionally.
The company is having technology integration with large enterprises, such as assisting the development of international brand-Tech parts, and selling them back to the large enterprises. He pointed out, cooperation under this form will help the company to develop an understanding of consumer products, while exploring the potential of NanoHeat.

In addition, the company has also designed NanoHeat electronic milk warming devices, cooking plates and high-performance nano portable warmers, etc. For example, 5000 portable warmers have been sold in Hong Kong in a short time. The company is planning to launch NanoHeat aromatherapy machine, and Italian companies are already willing to place orders. He believes that Hong Kong has a good legal foundation, patent applications are very convenient, and there are lots of experts from different fields and capitals in the pre-investment period, which makes Hong Kong as a potential intellectual property rights trading center; Moreover, the Innovation and Technology Commission strongly encourages and supports innovation and technology business development of SMEs, since the establishment of the department. Through the "Small Business Grants Scheme" (SERAP), Hong Kong government funded a lot of research and development of new technology. He suggests that the department can focus on supporting continuous development, as well as helping SMEs to expand to the overseas markets.
