Announcement of a change in Exhibition Safety Policy

While successfully setting up and running trade fairs remains our prime focus, maintaining an environment which is safe for all event participants – exhibitors, workers, visitors, customers etc, is of equal importance as far as the HKTDC are concerned.<br /><br />On seeing more and more instances where relatively primitive booths, despite single-storey by design, are involved very complex construction, the HKTDC would like to extend the scope of the prevailing Safety Report practice currently only applicable to two-storey booths to ALL raw space booths exceeding 2.5 metres by height.<br /><br />By this policy, a Safety Report endorsed by a Registered Professional Engineer of designated disciplines (Structural/Civil/Mechanical), must be submitted to us by 1800hrs on the last move-in day of the fair i.e. 10 January 2010. If this rule is not observed, the HKTDC reserves the right to prohibit access to the booth.
