To highlight Hong Kong’s advantages as an international innovation and technology hub as well as the business platform for smart city technologies, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council will co-organise an inaugural InnoEX in April 2023. Riding on the past success of the HKTDC International ICT Expo, InnoEX will be a prominent one-stop I&T event encompassing insights from influential tech experts and thought leaders, showcase of cutting-edge technologies and disruptive innovations, as well as business exchanges, facilitating regional and cross-sector collaborations among enterprises and government administrations, with a special focus in Asia. InnoEX will be one of the core programmes under the inaugural ‘Business of Innovation and Technology Week’.
InnoEX will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model with the physical exhibition to be held on 12-15 April 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and the online platform to open from 12-22 April 2023, offering participants a more comprehensive and effective exchange and business matching platform both in person and online. Please visit https://innoex.hk for more information about the event.

Due to the latest venue availability at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), the schedule for the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) and International ICT Expo has been slightly adjusted to 12-15 April 2022, to be held alongside the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We hope the concurrent running of these related events will provide synergy for both exhibitors and buyers by offering a convenient one-stop marketing and sourcing platform.

As part of its anti-pandemic measures, the Hong Kong SAR government announced on 2 June that the compulsory 14-day quarantine of persons arriving in Hong Kong from overseas will be extended until 18 September. The extension of this restriction means that overseas exhibitors and buyers will have great difficulty joining the Summer Souring Week* in July. Following discussions with industry representatives, HKTDC has decided to migrate the physical exhibition to virtual platform, Summer Sourcing Weeks | Go ONLINE, to enable companies to continue exploring business opportunities.
Despite the global pandemic, sourcing demand is strong and industry players are eager to join the Summer Sourcing Week. The fair has already attracted some 2,000 global exhibitors and more than 10,000 international buyers. We believe that the Summer Sourcing Weeks | Go ONLINE is going to help buyers and suppliers to alleviate business challenges, while the online business matching service will create even more opportunities for participants. Event details will be announced in due course.
We would like to express our gratitude to exhibitors, pavilion organisers, industry associations and buyers from around the world for their tremendous support for HKTDC events. We will make every effort to provide the industry with the same effective trading platform online and continue to help companies capture business opportunities through multiple channels.

*The Summer Sourcing Week includes 9 fairs which were originally scheduled from April to May this year. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 9 fairs were combined and rescheduled to 25 to 28 July. They include HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition), HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition), HKTDC International ICT Expo, HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair, HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair, HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week, HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair.
The safety of exhibitors and buyers has always been a priority for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). Considering the current development of the novel coronavirus outbreak, and in line with the health measures taken by the Hong Kong SAR Government, a decision has been made in consultation with industry representatives to reschedule eight HKTDC trade fairs originally scheduled for 6-30 April 2020. Under the new arrangement, the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition), HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition), HKTDC International ICT Expo, HKTDC Hong Kong Houseware Fair, HKTDC Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair, HKTDC Hong Kong Fashion Week, HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, and Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair will be held concurrently from 25 to 28 July 2020 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The HKTDC will inform the exhibitors and buyers concerned of the rescheduling, with detailed arrangements of the July fairs to be shared in due course.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to exhibitors, pavilion organisers, industry associations and buyers from around the world who have been supportive to HKTDC fairs all along. We will make every effort to provide industry with the same safe and effective trading platform in July and continue helping companies capture business opportunities through multiple channels.
