Nanjing Licon is showcasing our smart city lighting control solutions again at the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo. The response on the first day of exhibition has been exceptional. We’ve got in touch with many new buyers from different places including Brazil, Turkey, Spain, India, Vietnam and Japan. They have expressed strong interest in our products. Two buyers from Brazil and a buyer from Turkey are negotiating to source our smart city lighting control solutions for their government projects. Orders are each estimated at RMB10 million. The Expo attracts a large number of professional buyers. Everything has been well in place and we are very happy with the results.

The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo has facilitated Jiangsu Fute Lighting Group’s overseas business expansion over the years. We secured some large-scaled contracts such as the provision of smart street lights for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and public sector projects in Kuwait. We’ve drawn a lot of interest from international buyers at the Expo again this year. Eight to nine buyers from Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Vietnam and Argentina have expressed serious interest in sourcing our smart street lights and signal lights. Potential orders under negotiation are up to US$10 million. The prospect is very promising and I look forward to concluding deals with the new buyers after further negotiation. This is a great fair. We’ve met with even more buyers at the Expo this year.

We’ve got in touch with more international buyers at the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo this year. These new buyers from USA, Poland, Hungary, Russia, France, India and Korea are very professional and knowledgeable. They really appreciate our high-quality and high-performance flood lights which are corrosion resistant and temperature resistant. Some of our flood lights were used in stadiums of the Tokyo Olympics as well as projects like golf courses, horse racecourses and docks. Three to five buyers from Korea, Russia, Poland and Canada are now negotiating with us for flood lights, high bay modules and our educational lighting series. Average orders usually start at US$50,000 to US$100,000 each followed by bigger orders subject to buyers’ specific requirements. We are happy with the exhibition this year. The Expo is an excellent place to find new customers and expand business.

We’ve established a strong market presence in USA in particular providing high-quality lighting solutions for different projects. We’ve met with a large number of international buyers at the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo this year. The traffic was exceptional especially on the first day of exhibition keeping us very busy all the time. Buyers are coming from different places including Australia, USA, Italy, UK, France, UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Ten of them are now in talks with us for smart solar street lights and smart controls catering to the requirements of their projects. Some of them are sourcing in large amounts for bigger-scaled projects. Large projects may involve an order of over US$1 million each. The Expo is getting better and better attracting a lot of buyers every year. Many of our existing customers have also come to meet with us here this year to enhance exchanges.

This is our debut at the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo to promote our street lights, garden lamps, lawn lamps and landscape strips. The response has been positive. We’ve received enquiry from many new buyers including those from India, UAE, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. An African buyer is negotiating to purchase street lights involving an order of about RMB200,000. An UAE buyer undertaking government works in Dubai has also expressed interest in our solar lighting products. The size of order is subject to further discussion. The Expo draws high-quality professional buyers from different parts of the world. This is a great place to find new buyers and we will definitely return next year for business expansion.

The response is even better this year. We’ve met with more than 280 buyers from different places such as Mexico, Chile, Egypt, UAE, Russia, India and Mainland China. A leading lighting group from Thailand also approached us for our landscape lighting. We are very excited to have got in touch with this Thai conglomerate and expect to get big orders from them. Founded in 2003, be light! is one of the biggest lighting solution providers in Hungary. We specialise in project-based design and consultancy providing a comprehensive range of lighting devices for different sectors from hotels to restaurants, cafés, stadiums, warehouses and government projects. This is our first visit to the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo to expand our sourcing opportunities. I’ve identified at least five new suppliers from Mainland China and will explore cooperation with another six exhibitors through business matching meetings. This is a very rewarding visit. I will conclude business with three to four suppliers involving US$60,000 to US$100,000 worth of high bay lights, street lights and sport lights. I’ve also visited the Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) where I found five new suppliers from Mainland China for about US$100,000 worth of downlights, linear illumination and panel lights. It’s so nice to be able to meet so many new suppliers for reasonably-priced high-quality products at these two remarkable fairs. The HKTDC Marketplace App is very good and user-friendly while ‘Scan2Match’ really helps connect and enhance exchanges with exhibitors. We will definitely come again for business expansion.

At the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo this year, I am negotiating with 3-4 new suppliers from Mainland China for a selection of solar street lights, poles with solar solutions, high bay lights and flood lights. Tok & Stok is the largest retail group of furniture and home accessories in Brazil running a total of 50 stores across the country. This is our first visit to the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo to find new suppliers and enhance our product offerings. I have already found a new supplier from Mainland China for solar table lamps for camping purpose. A deal will be finalised within three months. Initial order is estimated at US$50,000. At the Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), I’ve established contact with more than 20 new suppliers for different items from table lamps to floor lamps, pendant lamps and wall lamps. I will conclude business with 5 to 7 suppliers and the first orders will be worth US$50,000 to US$70,000 each. Hong Kong is an excellent place to meet new suppliers and source products. The Click2Match platform helps to identify and connect with suitable suppliers.

The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo and the concurrent Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) offer a great opportunity to meet so many new and existing suppliers in Hong Kong at the same time. This is a very fruitful journey. I’ve already found two new suppliers at the Expo, namely HongKong SNC Lighting Co Ltd and Shenzhen Yaorong Technology Co., Ltd. for various outdoor lighting products. Potential order with HongKong SNC is worth US$50,000 to US$100,000 a month, meaning a yearly order of up to US$1 million or more. Order with Shenzhen Yaorong will start at US$10,000 a month and is expected to increase to a few hundred thousand dollars a year. At the Lighting Fair, I am in talks with several new and existing suppliers for a wide range of commercial and industrial lighting products involving large amounts of orders. I am very pleased with the results.
