This is our debut at Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair to expand presence in Southeast Asia and the overseas market. At present, our products are sold under own brand Tangchao mainly in Mainland China. We’ve attracted a lot of attention at the fair. Two Taiwanese retailers have expressed serious interest in our mulberry silk quilts. One of them is looking to purchase about 500 sets. Some buyers from other countries including Poland and Germany have also made enquiry about our products. This fair can really help us secure new customers and grow overseas business. The results are encouraging. We look forward to finalising business development with the new customers we’ve met here.

The response is satisfactory this year. We’ve met with buyers from Malaysia, Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries. Two buyers from Mainland China and a Hong Kong company have also expressed interest in our collections. Among them is a major department store group from Qingdao who intends to purchase our embroidered napkins. Large clients usually prefer less variety but bigger quantity when it comes to ordering. Other customers want more variety and smaller quantity each item. We can deal with these orders flexibly. This is a great fair attracting so many buyers from different parts of the world to do business. We will definitely continue to exhibit in the fair.

This fair has a diversity of exhibitors from different areas such as Southeast Asia and the Middle East, providing some interesting choices. Everything is well organised here and we hope to visit the fair again.

They will send over the pricing details. The amount of orders will be subject to further negotiation. Normal orders are usually about US$20,000 each. I really love this fair that gathers everything under one roof. I can find a diversity of exhibitors and products in different styles from different countries such as India, Mainland, Thailand and Vietnam. One of my colleagues is visiting the concurrent Hong Kong Houseware Fair for home decoration, tableware and other homeware items. At our visit last year, we concluded deals with three new suppliers. An average order usually involves a mix of different items as we prefer more variety to meet customers’ preferences. These two fairs feature a lot of interesting and innovative products. Their design looks great and the pricing appears to be reasonable. We like the HKTDC fairs and will come again to find more suppliers.
