Food Expo PRO has helped KK Food Trading reach out to more international customers paving the way for business expansion. Through the Click2Match platform, we’ve lined up meetings with more than 10 potential buyers prior to the Expo and the face-to-face exchanges proved to be rewarding. Two new buyers from the UK are now in talks with us for various Asian foods including instant noodles and sauces while a Hong Kong company is interested in a selection of German wines on offer. Further negotiation will be conducted to close deals. Orders are expected to involve a full container of foods worth about US$30,000 each. We’ve also established contact with four buyers from India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE looking to purchase our Halal-certified food and beverage products. The Expo’s Halal food and beverage sector really enables buyers to find what they want more efficiently. We would like to see the Expo and the Halal food and beverage sector grow further in scale to support the food industry’s further development.
We have been participating in the Hong Kong International Tea Fair since its debut because the fair provides an important platform for us to reach out to international buyers. Launched in 1958, Xiangyi Fu Tea was listed in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2022 and has been granted the title of ‘China Time-honoured brand’ by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. At the fair, we have met with buyers mainly from Southeast Asia who are agents or distributors. The Click2Match platform has helped us connect with a potential buyer from Malaysia. We expect that the fair will generate more than HK$300,000 in new orders. The last day of the fair will be open to the public. We forecast our onsite sales on the Public Day will be around HK$80,000-100,000.
As our bottled Hong Kong-style milk tea sells very well in overseas markets, we hope to look for more overseas business partners at this year’s Hong Kong International Tea Fair. This year we have met with more overseas buyers than last year. We have got positive feedback from overseas buyers from Africa, Poland, Southeast Asia as well as the Greater Bay Area and Zhejiang Province in Mainland China. Buyers like our bottled Hong Kong-style milk tea after tasting it and asked for our quotations. Quality sales leads generated by the fair will help us enter five to six new markets. We estimate that each large buyer will place orders worth US$100,000 in total per month. The Scan2Match feature is a nice tool, allowing buyers to bookmark favourite suppliers and exhibitors to obtain a list of potential buyers in the HKTDC Marketplace App. We are happy to be granted the “Most Scanned Exhibitor” award, indicating a lot of buyers are interested in our beverages.
We specialize in making innovative yet fashionable mobile accessories. For example, wireless charging products and wireless charging power wallet stand with customized materials. It is our second time participating in the EFSE as we met lots of international buyers last year. Every season we participate, we aim to meet 5-10 new long-term and quality business partnerships to work closely with. As of the third day, we already achieved this objective. They are all from Mainland China, Dubai, Taiwan, the USA and Singapore.
Last year, we received lots of positive feedback from hundreds of buyers. We are glad to have met 5-10 returned buyers who come back to meet us this year. We are happy to strengthen our relationships through face-to-face conversation. Sometimes it takes a few seasons for buyers to make order, thereby the continuing presence helps. We are now discussing 1,000 to maybe 100,000 pieces of orders with them.
In terms of brand exposure and market research, EFSE helps us get in touch with new buyers from the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, and more. The trade show here displays innovative prototypes and also goods for sale such as AI, robots making drinks and coffee to automation with machine learning. It keeps me up-to-date with the industry trends. I find the Click2match platform helpful and effective because it leads a bunch of buyers to come and see
We are an intergovernmental organization under the Ministry of Infrastructure Transport in South Korea. We are non-profit based as well. We have members from different private firms and our goal is to keep them connected and help flourish their businesses. After the fair, we will talk to those potential companies internally and later on link them up with our members. It would be a great opportunity and a kick-start for their collaboration.
Being in InnoEX enables me to meet and introduce the companies doing smart city projects to our member firms. I think that I have reached this main objective as most of the companies I met were based on data solutions, such as data integration, data collection and data management which are always the key solutions we use for Smart City. An Indian company, which is the first one I met interests me a lot. It is really interesting. I also met companies from Hong Kong and mainland China.
It is my first time here but I find it amazing. If I hadn’t used the Click2match platform, probably I would not have sorted out the booth I wanted pacifically and talked with them. I think it is a good thing that I have a visit schedule. I like this part for sure.
