Earlyink (CPTTM) | CENTRESTAGE

Although Hong Kong is not far from Macau, people in Hong Kong have yet to explore Macau’s fashion scene. Among the emerging designers at this year's CENTRESTAGE, Macau's Cherry Leong has garnered attention as a rising designer with her minimalist and elegant marble-patterned accessories, along with her commitment to eco-friendly leather and sustainable production processes.

How would you describe the style of your brand?

I would describe Earlyink’s brand style as cyclical fashion with refined innovation. We pursue creative freedom, value the quality of materials, and embody women’s elegance and expression.

How does the image of contemporary Asian women inspire your designs?

The independence, fashion, and lifestyle of contemporary Asian women are undoubtedly major sources of inspiration for our designs. Through our designs, we aim to help every woman showcase their unique charm.

You grew up in Macau, studied in Taiwan, and developed your career in Hong Kong. How have women in these regions influenced your designs?

We hope to expand Earlyink to multiple different regions. Based on our observations, women have subtle differences based on location when it comes to their aesthetic preferences for accessories. For instance, women in Hong Kong and Macau might seek a blend of practicality and fashion, while women in Taiwan might focus more on the little things in life. We take these differences into account in our designs, striving to balance practicality and aesthetics.

Your brand uses eco-friendly leather. What efforts have you made in material research?

We have chosen to combine recycled marble composite fabric with eco-friendly leather. During the production process, we use more environmental techniques as much as possible to reduce energy consumption and waste generation. This not only reflects our commitment to the environment but also makes our products uniquely sustainable.

Does using eco-friendly materials limit product design? How do you balance sustainability, design, and fashion?

Eco-friendly materials can impose some limitations on certain manufacturing techniques, but we do not see this as a constraint. In fact, it stimulates our creativity, making us pay more attention to the materials themselves. We strive to achieve a perfect balance between sustainability, aesthetics, and practicality.

Do you have any plans for the brand in the future?

In the future, Earlyink will continue to follow its brand positioning of “cyclical fashion with refined innovation” to consistently launch new accessories and lifestyle products. We will closely monitor consumer needs to continuously optimise and innovate in product development, material usage, and manufacturing processes. Additionally, we plan to expand our sales network and promote outstanding Asian designs in more regions of the world for people to enjoy.
